Within
hours of a natural disaster, relief operations can be launched following a three step process :
1- Evaluate local needs using international organisations' expertise
(OCHA's situation reports)
2-
If abroad, liaise with local government to get confirmation
of request for international help and receive authorisation for joining
the relief effort.
3- Have SAR teams & equipment ready
C.M.S.
organisation is fully autonomous and provides to volunteers all necessary equipment
to cover a period of 15 days. CMS also runs canine and electronic search activities.
Rescuers
have full agreement from their business environment and take holidays
to participate in rescues. Medical
assistance is ensured by paramedic staff. Their role on site is
to look after the rescuers' safety and that of the local population.
Corps
Mondial de Secours is a non-profit organisation, based on UNPAID volunteering. The
association rejects political, religious, or national discrimination
and does not interfere in the domestic affairs of the rescued countries.
